By confirming a stay at Hotel April1550, you agree to these General Terms and Conditions. These are intended to ensure a smooth, comfortable, and safe stay for all our guests. As our hotel guest, you also agree to abide by all other hotel policies and rules.
All reservations must be made by a guest aged 18 or over. Rates are shown in euros (EUR) and include VAT. All rates include breakfast, unless otherwise specified for an individual rate.
The rates do not include the Tourist Tax and Promotional Tax, which are charged separately upon check-in or check-out:

EUR 1.57 per night for guests aged 7–18 years of age
Free for children under 7 years of age
In order to secure your reservation, a valid credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or Maestro) is required. If the card is invalid or cannot be pre-authorised, we will inform you of possible alternative payment methods. If an alternative method is not implemented, the reservation will be cancelled.
In order to make a reservation through our website or by e-mail, 30% of the entire reservation amount is required as prepayment. Payment is possible via bank transfer or credit card. All the information regarding prepayment will be sent to the provided e-mail. If prepayment is not made by the stated deadline, the reservation will be cancelled.
Hotel April1550 is a small establishment, therefore reservations of three or more rooms are considered a group reservation. For group reservations, 30% of the entire reservation amount is required as prepayment at the time of the reservation. The remainder is payable three weeks (21 days) before the arrival date. For exclusive use of the entire hotel (all rooms and common spaces), please contact us at info@april1550.com.
Reservations may be modified or cancelled 14 days prior to the arrival date. If cancelled later than that, the total amount of the original reservation will be charged to your credit card. Hotel April1550 cannot waive a cancellation fee for circumstances caused by force majeure.
Reservations can be cancelled or modified only via reservation channels or via the following e-mail info@april1550.com.
Failure to check in on the scheduled arrival date will result in a no-show fee. The total amount of your entire reservation will be charged to your credit card.
Reservations are held until 10:00 (10 AM) the next day. After that, the reservation will be considered a no-show.
Hotel April1550 reserves the right to decline, modify, or cancel a reservation at its discretion. If a modification is necessary, we will try to offer the customer an alternative date at the same rate.
In the event of overbooking or situations outside of our control, Hotel April1550 reserves the right to accommodate a customer in whole or in part in a property of the same category. Hotel April1550 cannot be held responsible for circumstances caused by force majeure.
If a room is reserved for a different number of guests than the number who intend to stay there, Hotel April1550 reserves the right to cancel the reservation, with no refund.
The hotel will remove from the premises any guest who violates the law or hotel rules, creates a disturbance, is verbally abusive or physically threatening to staff or other guests, or intentionally destroys or damages hotel property.
The minimum stay at Hotel April1550 is two nights. For peak periods, public holidays, or special events, a longer minimum stay may apply, which will be clearly displayed when making a reservation.
Check-in is available from 15:00 (3 PM) to 22:00 (10 PM) on the day of arrival.
If you plan to arrive after 22:00 (10 PM), please inform us at the latest by 10:00 (10 AM) on the same day, so we can make the necessary arrangements.
All guests must present a valid government-issued photo ID (i.e. a passport or an ID card) upon check-in. A valid credit card in the name of the guest is also required. In accordance with Slovenian law, all guests will be registered in the national system (AJPES).
Guests under the age of 18 may only check in if accompanied by an adult who is also staying at Hotel April1550 for the duration of their entire stay.
Early check-in may be possible depending on availability and may be subject to an additional fee.
Check-out is by 11:00 (11 AM) on the day of departure.
If you require a late check-out, please inform the front desk in advance. Late check-out is subject to availability and may be subject to an additional fee.
If you fail to check-out by 11:00 (11 AM) an additional fee may apply.
Guests who leave earlier than their scheduled departure date are subject to a fee for the unused nights in line with our cancellation policy.
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, and cash (only in EUR).
We only accept signed credit cards.
Upon check-out, the amount incurred during your stay will be charged. In the event of any unpaid charges upon your departure, the credit card on file will be charged.
Hotel April1550 offers limited options for additional sleeping arrangements:
A limited number of baby cribs are available free of charge, but only upon prior request and in rooms where space allows. Please let us know at least three days prior to your arrival date that you require a crib.
Extra beds (sofa beds) are available only in the Balcony and Rectangle rooms.
For fire safety reasons, the maximum number of guests allowed in each room may not be exceeded. If the number of guests is higher than allowed for an individual room, an additional room needs to be reserved, otherwise extra guests cannot be accommodated.
For each room, the maximum capacity is indicated in its description. If a room is reserved for an excessive number of guests, Hotel April1550 reserves the right to cancel the reservation, with no refund.
Breakfast is included in the room rate unless otherwise specified in the individual rate. Breakfast is served from 08:00 to 10:00 in the dining area. “Breakfast to go” and early breakfast are available upon request.
Visitors may join a registered guest for breakfast only with the permission of the front desk. The price of breakfast for visitors is EUR 25 per person and can be paid at the front desk.
Well-behaved and well-groomed dogs are welcome at Hotel April1550, but only with prior notice and confirmation from the hotel. Please notify us at info@april1550.com that you wish to stay with your dog at least three days prior to your arrival date, so that we can send you confirmation in due time.
Hotel April1550 only accepts small dogs (up to 15kg). Service dogs are accepted regardless of their size. If you would like to stay at Hotel April1550 with a larger dog, please contact us at info@april1550.com providing more information about the dog; we will review each case individually.
Only one dog is allowed in each room.
When in public areas of the hotel, including the garden, dogs must be on a leash.
Dogs must not be left unattended and unsupervised in Hotel April1550. They must not be left unattended in rooms.
Guests’ rooms are subject to inspection at any time, even if the room has a “do not disturb” sign.
Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their dog in the hotel and in the neighbourhood.
Any disturbances such as barking must be kept to a minimum in order to ensure a comfortable stay for other guests.
Guests are responsible for all property damage and/or personal injuries to hotel staff or other guests caused by their dog.
Hotel April1550 reserves the right to charge for any damage or additional cleaning caused by a dog, including any material or bodily harm, or to request early departure in the case of repeated disturbances or if a dog causes damage to hotel property, with no refund.
The rate for a dog staying in Hotel April1550 is EUR 35 a day.
Hotel April1550 reserves the right to charge EUR 100 for undeclared dogs.
Hotel April1550 provides daily housekeeping. Our housekeeping staff will clean your room only upon request; please indicate this by hanging a sign on the door of your room.
The management reserves the right to enter a room for reasonable purposes, such as an emergency, reasons of safety, housekeeping, maintenance, checking that the room is intact, or to address or prevent a violation of the law or our house rules. In the event of a suspected violation of the law, the management reserves the right to notify the law enforcement authorities. Such authorities will be granted immediate access to hotel property and rooms in the event of any suspected violation of the law.
Smoking is not allowed anywhere on the premises of Hotel April1550, including the garden, the balcony, and the terrace. In the event of a violation of this policy, we reserve the right to cancel the rest of the guest’s stay with no refund and charge an additional cleaning fee of EUR 250 and the cost of a fire security intervention if the smoke alarm goes off.
For safety reasons, the use of candles and incense is prohibited. These items will be treated the same as smoking on the premises of the hotel.
Hotel April1550 is located within the pedestrian zone of Ljubljana's Old Town and does not have private parking. Please contact us at info@april1550.com for parking suggestions.
In order to ensure a peaceful stay for all guests, quiet hours are observed from 22:30 (10:30 PM) to 6:30 (6:30 AM).
Repeated disturbances may result in additional charges or, in extreme cases, early termination of the stay, with no refund.
All visitors must be announced at the front desk and accompanied by a registered guest at all times. Overnight stays for visitors are not permitted. Registered guests are responsible for their visitors at all times.
Guests are responsible for any damage to rooms, furnishings, equipment, or other property of Hotel April1550 caused during their stay.
Costs for repair, replacement, or additional cleaning will be charged to the guest’s credit card.
The removal of hotel property without permission will be treated as theft and may result in legal action.
Hotel April1550 reserves the right to charge a credit card on file for damages discovered after departure.
Hotel April1550 is not responsible for any items left behind by a guest.
Perishable items, hygiene products, and undergarments will be discarded immediately.
Items left behind by guests and found by our housekeeping staff will be stored for 14 days. Reasonable effort will be made to notify guests that an item has been left behind and found.
